印尼的左翼海報藝術家Alit Ambara的作品在印尼的社會運動圈之中廣泛流傳，並經常被用作示威道具。透過切入印尼晚近的社會議題（人權問題、農業改革、學生失蹤案等），他的作品揭露了印尼在民主化的進程之中仍然無法脫離的冷戰歷史和權力結構。更重要的是，他指出印尼人對於1965年大屠殺的沉默，如何延續了整個後萬隆峰會時代的印尼在東南亞之中的地緣政治位置。為此次TIWA台中辦公室的小型展覽，Alit特別準備了十一幅為移工問題設計的海報；也會親身講解移工們對印尼民主化的巨大影響，以及移工組響如何試圖鬆動反抗從1965年以降遺立下來的軍方／既得利益集團。

藝術家簡介：
Alit Ambara在雅加達藝術學院修讀雕塑研究（1989-1993），並於美國喬治亞州大草原市的薩凡納藝術設計學院（SCAD）中進修藝術史（1996-1998）。他曾在雅加達藝術學院的視覺藝術中心教授藝術史和藝術理論（1998-2001）。他是雅加達文化網絡（JKB）的成員之一，該組織是一個「閑蕩中心」（’kongkow’ institute），從事各種跟文化、藝術和知識的生產工作。他在當中負責〈媒體文化工作〉（MKB）雜誌的出版，並在每月舉行一個關於政治、文化、理論的「滿月討論會」（Diskusibulanpurnama），其討論結果亦已出版成書。他也是人類義工團隊（TRK）的成員，該組織長期協助1998年的排華暴動的受害者。在2000年至2008年間，他在安卡阿卡爾（雅加達郊區的社區）當任義工教師。他現在於印尼社會史研究中心工作。

Alit Ambara studies sculpture studies at the Jakarta Arts Institute in 1989-1993, and art history at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, USA in 1996-1998. He teaches art history and theory at the Visual Art Institute at the Jakarta Arts Institute in 1998-2001. Alit Ambara is also a member of the Culture Network (JKB), a 'kongkow' institution, that works on all aspects of cultural and knowledge production related to art, culture and ideas. His work at the institute focuses on the publication of the Media Cultural Work Magazine (MKB). He also holds a monthly discussion group Diskusibulanpurnama (Dbp.), the results of which are later published in book form. In 1998 Alit Ambara also joins the Volunteer Team for Humanity (TRK) which actively assists the victims of the May 98 riots. In 2000-2008, he is active as a volunteer teacher at Sanggar Anak Akar a suburban community in Jakarta. He is now working in the Institute of Indonesian Social History (ISSI), a social studies and research institute in Indonesia.
Nobodycorp. Internationale Unlimited is the label founded by Alit Ambara in 1993. It produces many posters that carry the themes of politics, human rights, social and movement.
